As the name suggests, New Pony Funk lives on the funky side of town, and their live shows bear witness to their long-standing residency in the neighborhood.  This is a tight, powerful band with some serious muscle.  As influences, they cite The Meters, Tower of Power, Dumpstaphunk, The Isley Brothers, Sly and the Family Stone, but when all is said and done NPF is a home-grown Philly Original.
